What did the recruiting process look like for you?

“I was contacted by my former coach since I already had completed a few races and had some finish times that I was proud of. I also ran XC in high school, so I had my time for that out there too. Being a single sport athlete can definitely help when it comes to triathlon recruiting because coaches are often checking swim meet times and cross-country race times to find athletes for their teams.”

Favorite leg of a triathlon race?

“Definitely the bike, I like the biking because I know I can work extra hard on the back and catch as many people as I can, it’s like a game to me.”

Do you, or have you, ever competed within sports outside of triathlon?

“Yes, I have competed in many sports. Get out there and try as many things as possible. Just being active is what is important. Sports I did include Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, Cross Country, Track and Field, Tennis, Soccer, Dance, and Gymnastics.”
